Cloud-native geospatial learning

AODN and CNES

Two organisations learning cloud-native geospatial tooling, told as one story about capability rather than two about training.

Context

AODN ran a bespoke two-week hybrid programme built around the organisation’s own marine datasets, with eight cross-functional staff working across STAC, cloud-native formats, xarray, Dask and DuckDB. CNES ran a blended programme of self-paced modules, instructor-led sessions and applied capstone work.

Tension

Training outcomes are easy to assert and hard to evidence. The interesting story is not what was taught but whether the organisation could do something afterwards it could not do before.

Role

Customer story and digital case-study experience · Synthesis of programme approach, participant feedback and impact evidence

Marta helped translate highly technical training programmes into accessible customer stories and digital case-study experiences, synthesising the programme approach, participant feedback and impact evidence. Her contribution was the strategic, editorial and design layer that made the learning and its impact legible. She did not teach the tooling or build the pipelines.
